According to research by Mintel, women are 50% less confident about asking for a raise compared to men — 42% of men feel confident about asking for a pay increase compared to just 22% of women. Jobless claims fell below 300,000 last week for the first time since the pandemic began. Seasonally adjusted claims came in at 293,000, a decrease of 36,000 from the previous week’s level. Women tend to live longer than men, on average, according to the Social Security Administration. Yet, they earn less than men over their lifetime.
