A cardholder’s 1500 points are worth $10 towards an eBay purchase, which is little more than a half-cent per point. Cardholders earning 3x points per dollar must spend $500 on eligible eBay purchases to earn a $10 reward. However, those earning 5x points will earn $10 for every $300 spent on eBay.

Points expire after 24 months and can be revoked for late payments.

How the eBay Mastercard Stands Out

Perhaps the only stand-out feature of this card is the 5x points it awards for purchases beyond the $1,000 of purchases on eBay for the calendar year. This is a solid reward for those who spend a lot of money on eBay and will reach that threshold quickly, but less useful for those who don’t spend as much on eBay early in the year.

The following two cards might be better options for eBay shoppers searching for a rewards card.

PayPal Cashback Mastercard

The PayPal Cashback card is another co-branded Mastercard that awards cardholders 3% cash back on purchases made via PayPal with the PayPal Mastercard, including eBay purchases, and 2% on all other eligible purchases. Final Take

Those who do not regularly shop on eBay will not benefit from this card much. Regular eBay shoppers should look at several other rewards cards before applying for the eBay Mastercard. Other cards may provide much more flexibility in redeeming points and offer more value per point.
